- Forestry is very important to balanced economic and ecological functions. Replanting to requires types of plants that has fast growth, can grow in broad climate distribution and has high economic value. Sengon laut (P. falcataria (L.) Nielson) is a plant that can grow on a broad climate distribution. This plant has a high vitality. The formulation of problem in this investigation is how the influence of the composition to wet planting media, the dosage of urea fertilizer and whether there is any effect of the treatment to urea fertilizer on the growth of Sengon Laut seedlings (P. falcataria (L.) Nielson). The purpose of this investigation was to determine the effect of the composition to the planting media and the dose of urea fertilizer on the growth of Sengon Laut seedlings (P. falcataria (L.) Nielson). This research was conducted for 3 months starting in November, December 2018 and January 2019. The location of this investigation is in the area screen house majoring in forestry, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research method used in this investigation used a Group Design of Experiment (RAK) with two factors that arranged factorial, consisting of two factors: the first factor was the composition of the planting media (A) consisting of soil, sand, compost and charcoal husk, then the second factors is a dosage of urea fertilizer (B) consisting of 1 gram, 2 grams and 3 grams of urea fertilizer. The results analysis of this variety showed a combination to the composition of planting media and the dosage of urea fertilizer that interacted with high growth in 2 mst of plants with the highest average value of A1B3 (soil, sand, compost with urea fertilizer at 3 grams). The treatment for interacting urea fertilizer dosage was shown at 7 mst with urea B2 (2 gram) fertilizer dose which affected the number of leaves.
