- Mahogany Plant (Swietenia Macrophylla King) is a producing tree of hardwood followed by some people to make household furniture and wall decoration. Mahogany tree (Swietenia Macrophylla King) can be a wild grow in the forest or other places near the beach are usually planted by the roadside as the shield tree. The Mahogany in Java including one of exotic species, nevertheless the high genetic diversity. This research is conduct to define the long influence of soaking and concentration of aqueous solution in GA3 regulator growth to seed germination and mahogany seedling growth. This research is conduct on March up to May 2019 in the Forestry Laboratories Screen House, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. For the method, using factorial randomized block design (RBD) which consist of two factors. Firstly, soaking for a long time (T) which is consist of three levels that are soaked during six hours (T1), twelve hours (T2), and twenty four hours (T3). Secondly, concentration of GA3 solution (G) which is consist of four levels that are 0 ppm (as control/G1), 100 ppm (G2), 200 ppm (G3), and 300 ppm (G4). Each repeated three times (3x4x3 = 36 of trial unit). The total of seeds to be germinated is 360 mahogany seeds. The changes of observed are seed germination (normal, abnormal, and go out), seed germination rate (number of seeds germinating per day) and seedling growth (high seedlings, total of leaves, stem diameter, wet weight and dry weight, length and total of roots). Therefore, the analysis of variance to be continued with Duncan trial’s 5% to decide the difference in treatment. The result obtained are variable rate and germination does not occur the real interaction between the combination of immersion length treatment (T) and the concentration of GA3 (G) growth regulating solution. In observation, the number of leaves in ten weeks, there is an interaction between the combination of T and G treatments with percentage of the largest number of leaves 2,63% in treatment combination T3G2. The long soaking treatment during 24 hours and the concentration of GA3 growth regulating solution are 100 ppm an appropriate with good treatments for seed germination and growth of mahogany seedlings (Swietenia Macrophylla King).
