  • Based on the real conditions that state elementary school of Mojolangu 3 Malang has instilled character, this was in accordance with Perpres No. 87 of 2017 concerning KDP in schools that aimed to strengthen the character of students. State elementary school of Mojolangu 3 Malang in strengthening character education implemented in the form of habituation, so the habituation became school culture. This research used descriptive qualitative research type. Observation, interview and documentation techniques were used in this research. Observation was made related to school activities that became the school culture, facilities and infrastructure, and the condition of the school environment. Conducting interviews were through several sources that related the focus of research. Researchers used Miles and Huberman (2015) data analysis through collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The result of this study indicated the implementation of strengthening of character education through school culture in state elementary school of Mojolangu 3 Malang, which conducted school and habituation programs. Strengthening character education was through school culture that implemented five values, including religious characters were such as reading Asmaul Husna and short letters, saying greetings when entering a room, nationalist characters were such as the morning roll call every day, the flag ceremony at every Monday, and the reading of the Pancasila at the beginning of learning. Furtheremore, independent characters were such as students are able to complete assignments on time, leaving school without being taken to class by parents. Characters of mutual cooperation were such as Friday clean, mutually help each other. Other hands, integrity characters were such as being able to carry out school activities well, and understanding well and bad things. Moreover, the result was obtained by researchers and the advise for further researcher to examines that related with implementation of strengthening of character education, which related to extracurricular activities in schools.
