- The purpose of this study is to describe communicative action in learning interactions of Bahasa in the seventh-grade students of Public Junior High School Muhammadiyah 4 Singosari. Moreover, this study aims to know the fungtion and the purpose of language that influence the use of the form communicative action by teachers and students as well as the purpose of using communicative actions in the interaction teaching and learning interactions of Bahasa in class VII of Public Junior High School Muhammadiyah 4 Singosari. The research approach use is descriptive approach. The type of research is gualitative research. The source of data in this study is the teacher of language and students in seventh-grade. The data in this study is a teacher and student utterances contain communicative action. Data obtained by 3 methods they are: observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis teachniques such as data reduction, data display and conclusions. The validity of the data is obtained through extension of participation, observational keennesss, triangulation, and peer checking. The results of this study are as follows. (1) The convention rules in the interaction of teaching and learning Indonesian in class VII are divided into maxim of quantity, maxim of quality and maxim of generosity. In the use of the conversion, teacher often use representational functions which appears when the teacher or student answers questions related to the material or wants to know certain information. (2) The communicative action in the interaction of teaching and learning Indonesian in class VII is divided into eleven, namely remind, admonish, suggest, ask, ask, complain, say hello, ask, order, advise, and warn. In this case the teacher uses more communicative actions to advise and admonish students. It is because students who are still sitting in class VII still have to receive a lot of motivation to be more active in learning.
