  • Introduction:OSCE is the Objective Structured Clinical Examination, which is a competency test that often triggers anxiety in nursing students. This anxiety can affect sleep quality of the students. This study aimed to identify the anxiety and sleep quality of nursing students before OSCE. Research Methods: This study implemented Descriptive method with a Cross-sectional approach. The population in this study is nursing students of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang class of 2018/2019 who will undergo OSCE, with the total of 188 students. The sampling technique used was the Simple random sampling, and it was obtained the sample of 128 respondents. Research data were collected using Questionnaire and analyzed with Descriptive analysis. Results: The results demonstrated that the majority of respondents did not experience anxiety, which were 77 (60%) respondents. On the other hand, 51 (40%) respondents experienced anxiety, which mostly were included in the "Mild" category (27 respondents / 21%). Furthermore, the analysis showed that 92 (72%) respondents had "poor" sleep quality. Discussion: Thus, it can be stated that anxiety is reduced in students when approaching OSCE because they have adapted / have previous experience in dealing with OSCE. But, in the other findings from this study the majority of respondents had poor sleep quality due to using a speeding learning system last night. So it is recommended for students to set time and sleep patterns to improve sleep quality..
