- This study examines the social support of the institution provided by the Social Services UPT Tresna Werdha Jombang related to handle the problems of the elderly and satisfy the needs within physical, spiritual and social aspects. The researcher has the aims of this research were to identify and to explain the forms of social support for the institution and to explain the process of social support for the embodiment of the life satisfaction of the elderly in UPT Tresna Werdha Jombang Social Services. In order to arrive at the result, the qualitative approach with descriptive type was used in this research. The Researchers used the cluster sampling technique in terms of determining the research subject. Furthermore, the used data collection techniques were observation, interviews and documentation. Moreover, the data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presentation and pullout conclusions. The deriving results of this study reveal that there are four social supports carried out by the Social Services UPT Tresna Werdha Jombang, such as 1) emotional support, 2) appreciation support, 3) instrumental support, 4) information support. Meanwhile the social support process is carried out through several stages, namely 1) the existence of approaches and assistance, 2) monitering activities and appreciation, 3) providing facilities, 4) providing advice and invitations. The results obtained were the embodiment of life satisfaction felt by the elderly included as well as 1) acceptance, 2) affection, 3) achievement, 4) innovative, 5) good communication patterns, 6) responsible.
