- Pakistan is a country where women often get marginalized treatment and even forms of violence and discrimination. Violence against women in Pakistan involved many victims including Malala Yousafzai. Malala Yousafzai's courage in fighting for gender equality by calling for education for women is prohibited by the Taliban who are considered not in accordance with the norms of the local community. United Nations Women (UN Women) as an international organization that focuses on gender equality shows its seriousness in dealing with violence against women in Pakistan through its programs. This study uses the concept of international organizations to explain that its main function is to provide a means of cooperation that can benefit the country. Then to explain how gender equality can be achieved, in accordance with the concept of gender mainstreaming. Firstly women's involvement in political leadership participation, secondly economic empowerment for women. Third, end violence and discrimination against women. This research uses descriptive method with literature study techniques. Through its role and program UN Women in Pakistan after the tragedy of Malala Yousafzai was able to provide promising results such as the increasing number of women's representation in politics, the creation of a home based worker programme for economic empowerment for women. Establishment of a programme to protect women against violence and the creation of laws to guarantee women's rights.
