- The development of internet technology in the era of globalization that continues to grow, where users expect services that are always there at any time. Usually this is not supported by an increase in the number of sufficient server services, user requests that continue to increase which makes the server workload increase quickly, this results in a server down in a short time, Problems occur in the main network infrastructure that is fixed and does not change so that the network which will be developed will be more complicated, routers and switches that are specially distributed, closed and are the property of the company, Software Defined Network is a new concept where the network devices have separate data plane and control plane parts, so administrators are easier to manage and develop on the network. In this study the authors make research with the title Analysis of POX and Ryu Controller Performance Using Round Robin Load Balancing in Software Defined Networks. Tests carried out on a virtual network using mininet and measured based on the parameter of response time and request rate. This study uses a number of servers that vary from 2 to 4 servers, by sending a number of packages that also vary from 250 to 5000 packets, as well as testing the number of shipments 50 - 150 packets in every second for 10 seconds. By carrying out these tests, the analysis data is obtained in the form of a comparison of the controller performance in performing load balancing using the round robin algorithm on the Software Defined Network.
