  • This research aimed at describing the students’ problem-solving and mathematical communication abilities using the learning model of Eliciting Activities (Meas). The type of research was descriptive research using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research objects were the students’ problem-solving and mathematical communication abilities in solving the test items through the learning model of Eliciting Activities (Meas). The research subjects were the students of 7th-B class of State Junior High School of 1 Batu, in which it consisted of 32 students. The data collection was carried out through the test and interview techniques. The data analysis techniques of this research were quantitative and qualitative analyzes. The quantitative analysis of this research was carried out by using the percentages calculation, of which calculation was classified in 5 categories namely very good, good, fairly, and poor. While the qualitative data analysis was conducted by describing the students’ learning outcomes based on the indicators of the students’ problem-solving and mathematical communication abilities. The research results indicated that the problem-solving and mathematical communication abilities using the learning model of Eliciting Activities (Meas) had a good average.
