  • One of the growing content is streaming content. The need for realtime information in the form of information and entertainment is a need that is increasingly considered important in society. With the conventional network paradigm at this time, video streaming has a fairly complicated problem. Location-dependence or mapping of content to host locations which makes network configuration and implementation of network services more complicated. Performance of the streaming server will decrease along with the large number of internet users accessing the server at the same time. In this research will be proposed solution to use of Content Centric Networking (CCN) routing which changes the communication paradigm based on host location to content-based communication by naming content for the data being communicated. In this research CCN routing implemented in multimedia streaming. System testing was conducted to determine differences in CCN performance on three different clients with several variations of the video file extension. In this case CCN has a better performance with an average delay of 0.022545 second, while for the average delay on the client without CCN has a value of 0.020027 second higher.
