- Music is a cultural option that came into society as a construction of social reality that is formed in song lyrics. Music is not only used as an entertainment, but also giving a spirit to live, with the message that are incorporating with the lyrics. The growth of music in Indonesia until now, has been growing rapidly, even penetrated Europe and USA. One of the genre that is growing in Indonesia is Metal. Metal genre itself has not been accepted well by the people of Indonesia, and showing negative sentiment into the genre itself. Distortion play on the song added with the critical lyrics, and also the appearance of the band itself that is a low of attraction, fully black clothed and eccentric are some example of social cultural aspect that is hard to get accepted by the society. The people ruled out the messages that are expressed by the metal band. This research discuss about the frequency of political critique message on the album R.A.P.B.N. by Rottenomicon. This research used the quantitative approach with descriptive type. The research objectively and measured aim to show that there is a political critique message on of the metal band. This analysis is used by the researcher as a method to analyze the message that are appearing on the lyrics on an album. On this analysis, the core of the method is the categorization of message when explaining how the messages can be seen objectively. Roger D. Wimmer & Joseph R. Dominick are the pioneer of the method that are used in this research. The calculation on this research is helped by two coder to test the reliability of acceptance between researcher and the coder using the Hostly formula. Afterwards, the calculation is done by Scoot pi formula so the Coefficient Reliability of the researcher and the coder are valid. Based on this research that are done by the researcher the data from album R.A.P.B.N. by Rottenomicon containing 10 songs are made by 214 lyrics, with 123 sentences of 57,47% from 100% lyrics that contain political critique messages. The category of Nation’s critique messages appeared 33 times or 15,42%. Political Elite’s critique messages appeared 49 times or 22,89%. Society’s critique messages appeared 17 times or 7,94% and lastly Public Policy’s critique message appeared 24 times or 11,21%. First song titled In Gardening Disease contain 12 lyrics sentences or 5,6% from the overall 21 sentences with political critique messages. Second song titled Devouring Uncontrolled Social Tenatacles contain 13 lyrics sentences or 6,07% from the total of 24 sentences with political critique messages. The third song titled Against The Grain contain 17 lyrics sentences or 7,94% from the total 25 sentences with political critique messages. The fourth song Dominus Flevit (Bangsa Bangsat) contain 10 lyrics sentences or 4,67% from the total of 19 sentences with political critique messages. The fifth song titled Infectious Perception contain 23 lyrics sentences or 10,74% from the total of 27 sentences with political critique messages. The sixth song Stench For Enrichment contain 5 lyrics sentences or 2,3% from the total of 18 sentences with political critique messages. The seventh song Enigmazation In Cadavering The Ideology contain 19 lyrics sentences or 8,87% from the total of 25 sentences with political critique messages. The eighth song Losesdupicia contain 10 lyrics sentences or 4,67% from the total of 18 sentences with political critique messages. The ninth song Greygrind & Loathe contain 14 lyrics sentences or 6,54% from the total of 21 sentences with with political critique messages. The tenth song Rotten Solid Brain from the total of 16 sentences there are none lyrics with the messages or 0% lyrics with political critique messages.
