- This research is analyzing character building based on parenting in gugus PAUD XIII kecamatan Klojen. The background of this research is related to the importance of maximum parents participation in school programs, escpecially ones that related to character building in young children. Parents involvement will determine the success of character bulding that is implemented by teachers at school. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of character building that based on parenting and to find out supporting factors and inhibiting factors in gugus PAUD XIII in Klojen district. The method used in this reasearch is qualitatitive descriptive. Data is collected from observation, interview, and documentation. The subject of this reasearch are headmasters, teachers, and parents, whereas the analysis technique include data collection, data reduction, display, and conclusion. Checking data‟s validity uses throrough observation and triangulation. The result of this reasearch shows that parents support and involvement are prominent in school socialization meeting, involved in parents group, religious events, sharing with psychologist, the peak of theme, and social activity. Supporting factors are in the form of adequate educational and economical background, character control book, school culture, time for sharing, while inhibiting factors are parents works, parents perspective, and lack of good example from parents at home.
