PENGARUH EDUKASI PENGGUNAAN OBAT ASMA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN PASIEN DI PUSKESMAS KENDALSARI KOTA MALANG

- Background: Asthma is a chronic disease that affects many children and adults in the world. Based on the results of basic health research at 2018 that an East java Province has an asthma prevalence of 2.4 %. Asthma medicine which has various indications and the method of giving need an education to increase the knowledge of asthma medicine. Purpose: to know the effect of education in using asthma medicines to increase the patient’s knowledge at Kendalsari Health Center in Malang. The Research Methods: this research uses questionnaire and booklet as education media. The data analyzed by descriptive and statistic. Based on statistical analysis, the data analyzed by Wilcoxon Sign Rank test using 33 respondents. Result and Conclusion: the level of Asthma sufferers at Kendalsari Health Center in Malang before giving an education, it found the high level criteria was only 52%. When they receive an education, it finds the level of their knowledge are 100%. The Wilcoxon result shows the score-p 0.000<a=0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that education has an effect in increasing the knowledge before and after give an education of Asthma medicines.
