- The use of a computer in the future is very dominating human work and can defeat the human ability to control an electronic device. Remote control using an internet media, Internet of Thing (IoT) enables a user to be able to manage and optimize and improve electronics and electrical equipment using internet media. Conventional light control has a problem if lecturers, students, or employees forget to turn off the lights, besides that the security personnel manually have to lock the doors of the UMM 3 GKB room one by one. Therefore this program is very capable of helping the campus in controlling the lights because if the lecturer, student, or employee forgets to turn off the lights, it can be controlled through a Personal Computer or Smartphone connected with lighting automation, besides that this program can also help the task of staff security by controlling the door lock that is in the UMM GKB 3 Building. Lights and doors can be controlled by the Internet of Things system by relying on a telecommunications network and controlling the entire system can be done outside the building with the note that it must be connected to the internet. In this study simulation software is needed to overcome the problem of the limitations of hardware and software, the software used is Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2
