Advisor 1: Drs. Amir Syarifuddin, MP, Advisor II: Nirmala Ayu Aryanti, S.Hut, M.Sc. Forests have various types of vegetation, one of which is bamboo. According to Tamabaru (2012), in Arniaty et al (2014), said bamboo is a group of plants that have the ability to absorb CO2 in high concentrations because, it has a relatively dense and large number of stomata on leaves which is more than 500 stomata per mm2. The purpose of this study was to determine carbon stocks in Huta Bambu, Sumbermuntung Village, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency. The implementation of this research was conducted from August to October 2018. The method used in this study was a quantitative method. The process of data analysis uses the allometry calculation which is then continued to estimate the results of the area in question. Based on the research obtained estimates of biomass stored in Bamboo Forest with a special purpose is obtained from biomass in bamboo of 90.45 tons / hectare and lower plants get biomass of 64.41 tons / hectare while necromass gets biomass of 79.84 tons / hectare. Then the total biomass was calculated with the results of 1767.70. The results of the total biomass were calculated which produced carbon stocks in the bamboo forest area of 813.14 tons / hectare with an area of 14 hectares. The results of the carbon stock are related to several factors of the size of carbon sequestration from an area depending on the amount of vegetation available, the diameter of the tree and the density of the existing vegetation cover.
