- Javanese language is local content includes in the subject of Elementary School. Therefore, the researcher developed learning media of Javanese language in order to ease students in their learning process. This research aims to know: (1) The development of KIJARA (Javanese Comics and Javanese Letters) as learning media of Javanese language; (2) The feasibility of KIJARA (Javanese Comics and Javanese Letters) based on assessment or validation from material and media experts. This research used research and development model by Borg and Gall with the development steps that been modified to be 7 steps. As the research source, it was selected students in the 4th-A Grade SD (Elementary School) Muhammadiyah 08 Dau Making academic year of 2017/2018 for 30 students. The research was conducted on November 2017 using two steps. The first step was small group test to the 7 students, while the second step was large group test to the 23 students where each step consists of 1 meeting. The research result showed that the development of KIJARA (Javanese Comics and Javanese Letters) media can be stated as feasible to be used as learning media of Javanese language. It can be seen from validation result showed feasibility to this media. Validation from media expert showed percentage of 90.9%, while validation from material expert showed percentage of 96.4%. In addition, good student response, in which they are interested to this media also arise their curiosity to know more about the media. It is showed by percentage of small group test for 96.8% and percentage of large group test for 88%, this is seen from response of students at the time of learning that looks very interested of KIJARA media and interest in learning process is more motivated so it is very active especially when acting character in KIJARA. But even though student are quite active and interested in KIJARA media there are some student who are still not fully understood whit Javanese script.
