- The road network for economic activity has a very important function especially in facilitating mobility of movement. The economic relations can proceed smoothly if the condition of the road is in good condition.. In general there are two types of pavement highway frequently used are flexible pavement and rigid pavement. Pavement in good condition then the flow of traffic went smoothly as well, if the pavement is damaged so traffic will be severely disrupted. Underpass Karanglo road section is an arterial road, all types of vehicles through this road affects the quality of pavement. So that need to design flexible pavement and rigid pavement in order to get the best results both in terms of cost and quality. From the calculation results with the arrangement thick flexible pavement surface layer consists 30 mm of HRS WC, 35 mm of HRS Base, 250 mm layered foundation of LFA grade A and 125 mm of LFA grade B. Thick layers of rigid pavement with the arrangement 230 mm of the surface of the concrete slab and 125 mm a foundation layer of lean concrete mix (CBK). Based on the cost calculation for flexible pavements Rp 5,563,467,556.91 and for rigid pavement Rp 10,451,221,291.50.
