- The development of film is not only used as a medium of entertainment, but also used as a propaganda tool, especially regarding social or national goals. The Raid is a martial arts action film from Indonesia, directed by Gareth Evans and starring Iko Uwais. The purpose of this study was to determine the elements of violence contained in filmThe Raid 2 Work Gareth Evans. This study uses a quantitative approach, is a process of finding data in the form of knowledge which uses the numbers as a tool to analyze the information about what he wants to know. The basis of this study is to use content analysis. The reason for using content analysis is because it will get a result or understanding of the various contents of communication messages delivered by the mass media or other information sources objectively and systematically. Based on the research frequency of occurrence of the first sub-categories namely physical violence ten (10) scene, verbal abuse and twenty-seven (27) scene. The number of occurrences of all categories combined total of 37 scene.
