- Food security is not departing with the availability factors, quality, and food affordability where the condition of country is able to provide the community demands which starts from family to individually. That is under a new constitutional number 18 in 2012 about food that food security covers nutrition, quality and quantity of food availability, and affordable price, and those are aimed to create a healthy life, productive, also sustainable life. This undergraduate thesis discusses about a significant degree of how affected urban farming program as one of Governments’ programs in actualizing food security specialized in family’s food security. This research is carried out in several districts which consist of five sub districts, those are Klojen, Suku, Lowokwaru, Blimbing, and Kedungkandang. Research method use in this research is descriptive qualitative with secondary data collection which conducted in literature and documentation techniques. Through of this research that was conducted found if the result of this research indicate that urban farming program has been influenced in some points about food security in constitutional number 18 in 2012 about availability, quality and affordability. In other hand, there are some locations less capable in developing urban farming program in effective way because of several obstacles faced in implementing the program.
