- This research concerns with the use of Silent Movie to enhance students’ speaking motivation at second grade of SMP ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang. In addition, the purpose of this research is to identify howSilent Movie enhance students’ speaking motivationat second grade of SMP ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang. This research used classroom action research (CAR) because it was intended to enhance students’ speaking motivation at second grade of SMP ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang. Furthermore, it is planned to be done in three cycles in which each cycle contained four phases: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Based on the result of reflecting in classroom action research (CAR), the researcher can conclude that the Silent Movie could enhance students’ speaking motivation at second grade of SMP ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang. Furthermore, the researcher conducted three cycles in this classroom action research (CAR). In addition, in cycle I, the average score of students speaking skill were sixty seven point fifty five. Eighty five were the average score in cycle II and ninety five poin fourty four were the average score in cycle III.
