- Utilization of forest land can be done optimally with the term intercropping or agroforestry. Agroforestry is a combination of forest stands and annual crops. According to various sources of agroforestry planting systems a significant positive impact if the application of agroforestry patterns themselves is in accordance with the rules. Land use for agroforestry is carried out in Madiredo Village and Pandesari Village in overcoming problems such as farmers' success in reducing damage to forest areas, increasing income and welfare (sosek) and utilizing land in a sustainable manner. The purpose of this study is to assess the success rate of agroforestry farmers in reducing damage to forest areas, assess the success rate of agroforestry farmers in managing forest areas in increasing community income and welfare (sosek), and analyzing agroforestry farmers in sustainable land use. The study was conducted in August to September 2018. The results showed the success of pesanggem in the agroforestry system can be seen from the income of farmers, farmers' income can be supported from agricultural and livestock products. Pesanggem efforts to reduce forest damage can be seen from how to combine annual crops such as vegetables and grass, the main stands are Pine, Eucalyptus and Suren. Land use in the form of planting vegetables or grass can be seen from the positive profit from the combination that shows the value of B / C ratio of income and expenditure as much as 97% in Madiredo Village> 1 and 100% in Pandesari Village> 1 succeeded in increasing income through the agroforestry system. Sustainable use of forests can be realized by the existence of land use efforts underneath, so that forest land can be utilized and its functions continue to exist continuously and provide benefits to the communities around the forest.
