  • The result of the first need analysis in SDN Kwaron II revealed that books, pictures, and the like were the main media that were mostly used by the teacher in the sense of instructional media for learning. Recently, in accordance with elementary school thematic learning, Curriculum 2013 was applied in line with the lecture as well as a question and answer learning methodology. Therefore, this research was importantly designed for developing instructional media for learning based on valid, effective, and attractive criteria. This research and development employed ADDIE that comprises five steps Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In addition, this research made use of quantitative and qualitative data analysis by means of knowing the developed product eligibility of valid, effective, and attractive aspects. This research was conducted at the first grader of SDN Kwaron II Jombang City. The result revealed that the material expert validity test percentage was 83% and media expert validity was 73%. Those were considered valid. The end result of the effectiveness was taken from the student’s learning outcomes that 81% was effective. Further, the attractiveness was proceeded from respondents, 84% for teachers and 93% for students. By and large, media development of Mekobin was valid, effective, and attractive in the sense of learning process in theme 7 for the first grader.
