- Based on the needs analysis obtained from observations and interviews on November 22, 2018 at Sitiarjo 04 Elementary School, it shows that learning media are still less applied in the learning process. This is due to the lack of learning facilities and infrastructure. The learning media used are only student books that have been provided by the government. During this time, teachers only applied lecture methods that were monotonous and did not attract students' attention in participating in learning activities. This study aims to: (1) describe the process of "KOEKS" Development of Ecosystem Material Ecosystem Boxes for Class 5 Primary Schools, (2) describe the effectiveness of "KOEKS" Media Development for Ecosystem Material Ecosystem Boxes for Grade 5 Elementary Schools. This study uses development research and development models, namely ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were grade 5 students at SDN 04 Sitiarjo. This research was conducted in April 2019. Data collection techniques in this study used interview techniques, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results of the study show: (1) Development of "KOEKS" media through the validation stage by teaching materials experts, material experts, and learning experts stated that learning media has very decent criteria, is very valid, and needs revision according to suggestions. The percentage of feasibility of teaching materials by media experts is 94%, material experts are 77%, and learning experts are 83%. (2) The effectiveness of the media on the results of student responses to KOEKS media obtained 97% results which were categorized as effective.
