HUBUNGAN PERILAKU MEROKOK ORANGTUA DENGAN PERILAKU MEROKOK PADA ANAK DI KELURAHAN KOTA MALANG

- Background : Smoking behavior among children these days really worrisome, that showed with increasing children smokers. The data from health minister of Indonesia (2016) showed smoking behavior among children and adolescent increasing three times from 7,1% at 1995 to 20,5% at 2013. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between smoking behavior of parents and smoking behavior in children. Method : In this study use correlational descriptive design study approached with retrospective method. Population in this study were children smokers in one of Malang City Village in total 45 children. Sampling method used total sampling. The data analyzed using spearman rank correlation test. Result : The spearman rank correlation test in general had insignificant result (p>0,05) that means no relation of parents smoking behavior with children smoking behavior. Discussion : This study resulted in parents smoking behavior category mostly light smoking behavior and children smoking behavior category mostly light smoking behavior. There were no relation of parents smoking behavior with children smoking behavior due to the parents were not the most important factor that cause children smoke rather than another factors like friends, psychology, and advertisement about cigarette. We hope for future study deepen the data collecting and modificate questionnaire as needed and develop studies that already done.
