- The research is conducted to see how the frequency of communication in the Indonesian Migrant Workers’ family in building the family nearness in long distance relationship, these cases occur in Paciran village that is interesting to be researched. With the Problem statements of how to build nearness communication in Indonesian Migrant Workers in Paciran village, Lamongan district. This research used a qualitative approach and descriptive type. The technique of data collection used objective interview, observation and documentation. In the determination of the subject matter of the research, this research used Purposive Sampling technique on certain criteria. This research used the model data analysis from Miles and Huberman by data reduction, data presentation and data conclusion. The examination of the data validity used Triangulation Source technique. The result of the research can be concluded that openness communication of the Indonesian Migrant Workers’ family in Paciran village, Lamongan district is the process of interpersonal openness communication between family members used interpersonal communication approach effectively in building relationship between family’s members. Based on the side of humanistic perspective, openness communication for family’s members is influenced also by how to maintain the communication with each other. Openness communication protects the family from conflict which can disadvantage the harmonious of family.
