- Television has become a friend who always accompanies people every time they do activities. humans cannot be far from television which always gives new ideas to be developed in everyday life. Television is a very important tool for audiences because television has the function of educating, entertaining, and providing information. Television stations present various programs with different types of programs, one of which is talkshows. Talkshow program that has a multitalented host namely Hitam Putih talkshows. Hitam Putih is delivered by Deddy Corbuzier with various pros and counter responses to the audience when watching Hitam Putih. The purpose of this study was: to find out the meaning of UMM sociology students in the Trans7 Black and White Talkshow program, episode 82 of Mbah Kromo Kuli Panggul Pasar Usia 82 Tahun,on February 7, 2018. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Research subjects of Sociology students of the 2016 UMM. The technique of collecting data uses interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Hubernam models, namely data reduction, triangulation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study were the 2016 students of the Sociology Department of the University of Malang regarding the meaning of students in the Hitam Putih Talkshow Episode Mbah Kromo Kuli Panggul Pasar. thinking in this case is the subject of research. The shows, which are packaged through talkshows with two-way communication, can attract many people and are supported by airtime during family gatherings and most people have finished activities such as work. Audiences also prefer talkshow shows that present the figure of the community as a source of inspirational stories than celebrities that are viral. The suggestion for the next researcher is to review the Hitam Putih Talkshow with a focus on the meaning of the community with different levels of educational background.
