- This research is motivated by the lack of thematic learning media and helps students practice stringing vocabulary and numeracy skills in addition and substraction in 1th grade of SDN Clumprit 3 Malang Regency, East Java. This is based on obtained at the interview on October 20, 2018 with a 1th grade teacher at SDN Clumprit 3. Thus, there is a need for learning media that can help students undersrand the material conveyed by the teacher and can foster enthusiasm for student learning in thematic subjects, that is with board pictures boc arises learning media. This research aims to develop Pak-Gambul media for the My Favorite theme Favorite Sports Subtheme for 1th grade students of Elementary School. This research and development use ADDIE development model there are 5 stages including Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This study used qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques and data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. Based on the result of the research that conducted by using Board Pictures Box Arises Media on My Favorite Theme Favorite Sports Subtheme shows the percentage of assessment of media validation test is 81,25% with qualification valid criteria. While the percentage validation of material expert is 83,92% with qualification valid criteria. The result validation of learning expert is 92,30% with very valid criteria. And the result of students’ responses shows an average percentage of 94,11% with very interesting criteria. It can be concluded that the development of Board Pictures Box Arises media on My Favorite Theme Favorite Sports Subtheme for 1th grade students are valid and interesting to use in the learning process.
