  • Background : Myofascial syndrome upper trapezeus is a symptom that is often felt by office workers caused by compensation by his work so that the decreased sleep quality. The benefit of the combination of kinesiotapping with myofascial release and kinesiotapping with ischemic compression is to reduce complaints in muscle tension and improve sleep quality. Objective : To knowing the comparison influences the combination of kinesiotapping with myofascial release and kinesiotapping with ischemic compression on sleep quality of myofascial syndrome upper trapezeus in employees of TU UMM. Research Methods : The research design used was pre-experimental with approach two group pre-post test design. Respondents in this study were TU employees aged 23-55 years who at UMM. The total sample of 40 respondents who met the inclusion criteria was obtained from the purposive sampling method. The interventions used were kinesiotapping with myofascial release and kinesiotapping with ischemic compression on the upper trapezeus muscle. With research instruments using PSQI scale measurements. Results : The results of the study with Wilcoxon test in group a and paired t test in group b showed a p value = 0.000 <α = 0.05 then the results of the data that H1 accepted, so that’s have effect of both combinations of interventions that, with the Mann Whitney test in groups a and group b shows the results of p = 0.000 <α = 0.05 so H0 is accepted, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in effect between a combination of intervention groups a and b. Conclusion : There was no comparison influences the combination of group a and group b on myofascial syndrome upper trapezeus on the sleep quality TU UMM employees.
