  • Background: elderly is someone who has reached the age of 60 and above. Elderly people will experience a decrease in the degree of health both physiologically and caused by an illness. Elderly tend to reduce their activities which will have an impact on decreasing their physical fitness. Due to a decrease in ability that is easily tired when doing work or because of an illness that causes the elderly to no longer be able to carry out their physical activities normally. Research Methods: This study is an analytic observation study with aresearch design cross sectional. The research subjects were based on the study inclusion criteria involving 68 respondents. The measuring instrument used to measure physical activity is IPAQ-Short Form and the measuring instrument used to measure 〖VO〗_(2 ) max is the Six Minute Walking Test. Results: Shows that the results of statistical analysis using thetest are Spearman's Rho 0.000 (p<0.05). It can be concluded that H1 is accepted by H0, which means that there is a relationship between physical activity andlevel. 〖VO〗_(2 ) max for the elderly at the posyandu in the elderly Pandanwangi Blimbing Malang City with a coefficient of coefficient of 0.855 which means it has a very strong correlation between the two variables. Conclusion: there is a very strong correlation between physical activity towards 〖VO〗_(2 )max level in the elderly at Posyandu Pandanwangi Blimbing Malang City.
