  • Policy Analysis of Character Building Education State Defense that has been implemented in the Sore School Tulungagung year 2014/2015 is the policy of the educational development of the new characters. The policy should be analyzed in order to give a clear picture to other schools the effectiveness of the character education. Therefore the researcher intends to find out the planning policies, implementation and evaluate the effectiveness of the policy of strengthening character education State defense SMK Sore Tulungagung. Through qualitative research methods, triangulation of research data, researcher analyzed the data with the study of the theory through the reduction of results of interviews. The results obtained, reinforcement planning character education State Defense is lacking, because of the lack of reference to legislation is used, indicators of the achievement of the basic values of the characters to defend the state. On the implementation of the policy stated enough, the visible presence of activities that teach the concept of nationalism in the students, but the need for supervision of the implementation team. Last, the stage of policy evaluation is still lacking, because the evaluation of character education is in the form of violation in general, not on the indicators of the basic values of the Country's Defense.
