  • This study aims to describe the steps for implementing the strategy question student have ,with tutor sebaya the influence of strategy, question student have with peer tutor towards students' problem solving abilities. This research uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. The data taken in this study is problem solving ability. The population of this study is class students VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Batu. Samples were taken randomly from a population of 2 classes. While the data collection techniques used are tests and research design is the post test only control group design. The results of the study show that: (1) Steps for implementing the strategy question student have , with peer tutor in mathematics learning. (2) There is an effect of implementing the strategy question student have , with peer tutor towards students' problem solving abilities.
