- Violence is behavior that is contradict to the values and norms that apply and has been regulated in a regulation. Crime of violence is one of the most common crimes. Not only adults are victims, but children are also victims. Someone can be said to be a child if she/he still under age for about 18 years old. The crime of violence was obtained from the closest people such as family and friends. The purpose of this study is 1) to find out and analyze the factors that cause violence against children, that happens continuously in Malang. 2) to analyze the legal protection of children as victims of criminal acts in. This study uses empirical methods and uses primary and secondary data sources. The results of this study are factors that influence the crime of violence are internal and external factors. The internal factor is obtained from one's self, while the external one is from the social media and real life environment . Legal protection is provided in the form of identity protection carried out by Malang Regional Police. Other protection are Malang Regional Police cooperates with Malang City Government, P2TP2A and LPA, the protection includes psychological tests, psychological therapies, victim assistance.
