- Background: Called overweight if she/he has IMT>23. The score of IMT obtained from weight in KG divided with squared height in M. Overweight can cause various degenerative diseases so its very important to control it with doing physical activity. HIIT and resistance training is one kind of physical activities which could increasing calories while fat burning and cause loses weight and has an effect toward body mass index. Research methods: this research was pre-experimental and used one group pretest posttest design with total of sample 37. In taking the sample, researchers used purposive sampling method. There are two instrument in this study; questionnaire for determine inclusion criteria; weight scales and microtoise for measure weight and height. Results: the result of this study used wilcoxon signed rank test as hypotesis testing and there is significance 0,025 means there is an effect of HIIT and resistance training on IMT of the girl students at gontor putri kampus lima kediri. Conclusion: There is an effect of HIIT and resistance training combination on body mass index of the girl students at gontor putri kampus lima kediri.
