- Wakatobi is a region with enormous natural, marine, historical, artistic and cultural resource potential as a tourist attraction, for domestic and foreign tourists. Tourism potential in WAKATOBI has not been utilized optimally because of various problems and obstacles. Wakatobi as a Marine National Park is demanded special treatment in the conservation of the area to preserve the natural resources of Wakatobi, because the loss of species will reduce the quality of the ecosystem and have an impact on the decline in the number of visitors. Wakatobi as a tourism area, of course there is interaction between tourists and society which is a great opportunity for the development of tourism and community life. Interaction that occurs is the motivation for business transactions with tourists as consumers and business people as providers. Services when tourists and local people meet at tourist attractions, or restaurants. Interaction between tourists and local people meets to find information, introduce tourism and local culture or personal data. This interaction occurred during the interaction of the local community with tourists at Patuno Restort.
