- The research is a qualitative research that is to examine the social interaction of society in the culture of muddying in Village Talitu, Laulara Subdistrict, Aileu District, Timor Leste. The focus in this research is to find out about the problems that exist in society. The source of this research is to increase the knowledge gained in the research process while in the field. The subject of this research is the researcher interviewed three respondents in the Village Talitu. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study. The data collection techniques used in this study is observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study were interviews with respondents. The results of this study indicate that the society in the Village Talitu believe in the culture of mockery as a symbol if someone dies then all families are required to wear black clothes. The function of black clothes is a symbol of grief to loss in the family.
