- This research was conducted on November 25 - November 26, 2018 at cantang grouper seed farmers in Situbondo, East Java and Fisheries Laboratory, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The method in this study is the experimental method. The design used in this study is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Treatment A is a control treatment, treatment B with a dose of betel leaf extract 2 ml/l, treatment C with a dose of betel leaf extract 4 ml/l, treatment D with a dose of betel leaf extract 6 ml/l and treatment E with a dose of betel leaf extract 8 ml/l. The results showed that there was a significantly different treatment for the addition of betel leaf extract to the Cantang grouper survival during transportation, with treatment B (2 ml/l) being the best treatment in increasing the survival of Cantang Grouper during transportation, which was 100.0%. Furthermore, the addition of betel leaf extract to water quality in the form of pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nitRate and nitrite did not show a significant difference between treatments. Whereas in ammonia there is a significant difference with the treatment of E (8 ml/l) which is the treatment with the highest ammonia value of 1.5 ml/l, this is due to a considerable number of deaths in the treatment. Therefore, from this study it can be seen that the safe dose in using betel leaf extract is to use a dose of 2 ml/l to increase the Survival rate of Cantang grouper during the transportation process.
