- Composite making using natural fibers has several advantages, which are environmentally friendly, cheaper prices, and can be recycled. In this study composite making with the selection of reinforcing materials from palm oil fiber was chosen because the potential for utilization was very large and not yet optimally done in Indonesia. Composite is made with 3 variations of palm oil fiber composition, namely 40%, 50% and 60% and focuses on the effect of variations in the composition of the fiber with the results of measurement of sound attenuation and porosity. From the results of the sound attenuation test, the composite which has the greatest attenuation power is a composite with a variation of palm oil fiber composition of 60% with an average NAC value of 0.15020672. While the highest porosity value was also obtained from composites with variations in palm oil fiber composition of 60% with an average porosity value of 28.76294639%.
