Daftar Isi:
  • Phytophthora nicotianae is one of destructive fungi pathogenic in tobacco plants. This pathogen causes a disease as Lanas so that this plants are not developing. Generally, the disease can be prevented by using synthetic fungicide, in which it causes negative impacts on the environment. An alternative, which can be developed, is the use of vegetable fungicide by using Anacardium occidentale L. leaves, of which leaves contains antifungals such as tannin, alkaloid, and flavonoid. This research aimed at finding out the differences in giving Anacardium occidentale L. leaves extract toward the inhibition zone of Phytophthora nicotianae. This research used True Experimental Research as the kind of research. This research was conducted at Microbiology Laboratory Islamic University of Malang on October to November. The layout that used was Complete Random Design (RAL) using 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The treatments consisted of negative control (aquades), positive control (mankozeb fungicides), concentration of Anacardium occidentale L. leaves extract of 50%, 65%, 85%, and 90%. The data analysis techniques used One Way Anova test and further test in the form of Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) of 5%. The research results showed that the difference in giving the Anacardium occidentale L. leaves extract toward the inhibition zone of Phytophthora nicotianae was in the effective concentration of 50%. The process and research results can be used as the biology learning sources of 10th grade of Senior High School on the sub-discussion of environmental changing, in which it is in the form of lesson plan (RPP).
