  • PT. Batu Bhumi Suryatama is a company that produces beverages. One of the products produced is Flamboyan apple cider drinks. After observing at PT. Batu Bhumi Suryatama turns out there is waste in some of its production processes. One of the suitable methods to minimize waste in the existing production process is Lean Six Sigma. By using this method, it is expected to solve problems in the production process in the company. By using DMAIC as a stage in this research. The Root Cause Analysis tool at the analyze stage is used to analyze the root of the problem of the occurrence of the dominant waste which then will be given suggestion improvements using the 5W + 1H tool in order to minimize waste. The results of the research there are 4 dominant wastes and the wastes are waiting which occurs in the filling and pressing process due to lack of engine capacity, unnecessary inventory due to excessive apple storage, overproduction, and defect. The proposed improvements provided are by adding machine loads, making SOPs, maintaining machine maintenance regularly, adding operators and conducting information dissemination to employees and supervision of each process to conform to company standards.
