- ‘Bontang Hari Ini’ (BHI) is a local news programme which is interest enough for public. BHI is one of information for Bontang society to get information about government activity, company, also society activity that actual and trust. The problem of research is how is the public respond to the BHI news programmed in LNGTV. The objective of research is to know how the public respond to BHI news programmed.Theory that used in this research is SOR theory. There are cognitive aspect, affective and conative in that theory which is an indicator research variable. The methode of this research is survey with the descriptive quantitative, with the populationabout 178 people. Trough Taro Yamane could get amount of sample for 62 respondent. Data collection technique that used is semi open questioner and documenter. Data analysis technique researcher use Mean. Based on the result of final analysis, then it could get the conclusion is the public respond to BHI programme news is high. It can be proved with the high public respond to BHI programme news about 2,40 or 80%. BHI programme news can reach all the society and success enough to give information that actual and factual.
