  • In the field of computer science the TF-IDF method is to give weight to a document. This method by combining two concepts of calculation that is giving the weight of a word there is a document that has a frequency of occurrence in a particular document. Cosine similarity is a method for determining the similarity of a particular document. Cosine similarity is by combining two different vectors. Limitation of the similarity value of a document that is produced between the values of 0 to 1. The TF-IDF algorithm and Cosine Similarity can be used to do data weighting and the similarity to the search results documents directly. The search results displayed can represent the overall topic of midwifery from the search results page. Solutions to problems that users need can be immediately displayed in a fast time. To test the results of recall and precision calculations from 813 data documents in the database, ten different search keywords are used to see the comparison of results, resulting in recall of 6.5 and precision 52.7
