- Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a decline in kidney function that lasts for 3 months. In the country of Indonesia the rate of sufferers who experience kidney failure is quite high. The results of a survey conducted by the Indonesian Nephrology Association (Pernefri) estimated that there were around 12.5% of the population or as many as 25 million Indonesians experienced kidney function decline. The perceived problem is nausea to vomiting and lack of toilet urge. To overcome and prevent the occurrence of nausea that is by providing food a little but often and ask the family to help meet the needs of clients in bathing themselves. This research method uses the Case Study method. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. Samples taken as many as 2 respondents, namely patients with CKD and families who took treatment at the poly surgery at Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang. The research data was taken using interviews. The results showed nausea to vomiting that occurred reduced and cleanliness of the bath reduced slightly because the client was helped to meet the needs of personal hygiene bathing by the family. Seeing the results of this study, it is necessary to have family awareness in supporting the fulfillment of personal hygiene for bathing clients.
