- Bulungan society on their activity is related with symbol element which implemented on traditional ceremony proccess, one of the proccess is marriage. Marriage proccess on Bulungan tribe are divided into some proccess and every proccess have symbol alements can be known the meaning. The meaning of symbol element wants to be implemented in this research.This is the reseacher reason to investigate meaning what kind of symbol in every single marriage proccess on Bulungan tribe culture. The purpose of this research to understanding the meaning of communication culture symbols on marriage laws Bulungan tribe. . The reseach use qualitative method by typed interpretative and basic research is using ethnographic method. There is 6 research subject, 4 people as bride and 2 as Sina Pengantin. Data analysis is using Interactive model from Miles and Huberman ( Data collecting, data reduction, data presentation and conclution) with data validationis by using triangulation of sources Research result of symbols meaning which is implemented from whole proccess are characteristic of Bulungan tribe. There is moral massage from that symbols, so the bride couple can undergoing of their household life by blessing Allah SWT. On propose step there is lungkap beba symbol, nengol bulan rhyme, berkurung, jewelry in sangot. Second step before marriage settlement there are lute music instrument, jepen, cold powder, pandanus mats, talam, yellow candle, pandanus leaf, inai, yellow garment, fragrant water, turmeric, knive, and prayer. Third step on marriage settlement there are terbangan, sholawat, yellow rice, coin, grindstone, prayed water, dowry, and consent granted. Last step is step after marriage settlement, there is bride mendus, lungkap seluar, bride pedibai, dish, prostration to parents. All of symbols have mean which relevan with life and daily activity of Bulungan society. Harmony relation betwen human and God. Sugestion from researcer about symbol which is contained on Bulungan Tribe tradition should be good implementation so Bulungan tradition will be life as tradition with moral value and social value.
