One method used to optimize the learning process in accordance with the objectives to be achieved in learning Indonesian Language is by using the PAIKEM learning model (Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, and Enjoyable Learning). In managing learning, which among others is applying the PAIKEM learning model, one of the competencies that must be mastered by the teacher well is Pedagogic competence in order to achieve student mastery learning optimally. This study aims to: (1) Describe the design of teacher learning in applying the PAIKEM learning model in learning Indonesian. (2) Describe the implementation of teacher in applying the PAIKEM learning model in learning Indonesian. This study used a qualitative approach, with descriptive methods. As a source of data, 4th grade teachers were selected at SDN Tlekung 01 Batu. In collecting data, the researcher used the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted in three stages, namely the planning stage, data collection phase and completion stage. This research was conducted in February 2018 2017/2018 academic year. The results of the study shown: (1) The teacher learning design in applying the PAIKEM learning model in Indonesian language learning process had formulated a complete lesson plan component and fulfilled the elements of PAIKEM learning with pedagogical provisions that must be mastered and applied by the teacher properly. The components were formulating learning objectives, elaborating material, strategies, methods of learning sources and media, learning activities, organizing time, and determining the types of assessment forms and instruments. (2) In implementing the PAIKEM learning model in Indonesian language learning had carried out learning with the characteristics of the PAIKEM learning model. In the learning process, the teacher created a more student-centered learning process. The created classroom environment was friendlier for students in order to be more enjoyable not become depressed or afraid.
