- Financial performance is one form of assessment with the principles of benefits and efficiency in the use of financial budgets. In public sector organizations, after budget operations are operational, the next step is to measure performance to assess the achievements and accountability of organizations and management in producing better public services. The purpose of this research is to analyze the partial effect of regional original revenue on the financial performance of regency / city governments in yogyakarta province to analyze the partial effect of balancing funds on the financial performance of regency / city governments in yogyakarta province to analyze the effect simultaneously on regional original revenue and balancing funds on the financial performance of regency / city governments in yogyakarta province this study was conducted in regencies / cities in yogyakarta special region 2011-2015. The method used is descriptive quantitative. To find the possible relationship between regional revenue and balancing funds that are independent variabels, and financial performance that appears as the dependent variabel based on the researcher. The results of this study are the regional original revenue and the balancing fund affect the performance of the district / city government in yogyakarta province, and based on statistical test results that are significant so the regional original revenue and the balancing fund affect the financial performance of the regency / city in the province of yogyakarta.
