- ABSTRACT The research entitled "Analysis of Employers Population and Unemployment Rate to Poverty Level in Nine Cities in East Java Province in 2012-2016". The purpose of this study is to describe the level of poverty, population, and unemployment rate in the nine cities of East Java Province from 2012-2016 and to examine the effect of population and open unemployment rates on poverty levels in Nine Cities in East Java Province in 2012-2016 . This study uses panel data regression with the Fixed Effect model. The results of the RE test state that of the two variables, namely, the variable population and the unemployment rate negatively affect significantly the poverty level in 9 cities in East Java Province. The value of determination coefficient is 0.154253. This value indicates that the ability in the population variable and poverty level in explaining the poverty rate is 15.42%.
