- Kermata Lake is one of the ponds in Saronggi District, Sumenep Regency. One community that lives around the lake is a aquatic plant community. Aquatic plants or often called aquatic plants are plants whose part or all of their life cycle is in water. This plant consists of a small part of moss, ferns and spermatophyta. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of aquatic plants in the Lake Kermata area, Saronggi District. The type of research used is descriptive research. Sampling was conducted on September 25-26 2018 using purposive sampling method. Sampling was carried out at three research stations. The analysis was carried out by identifying all the samples found and the data presented descriptively in the form of a description of the identification / classification, number of plant, and morphology of the plant. The results showed that there were 4 species of aquatic plants. The species found consisted of Myriophyllum sibiricum, Pistia stratiotes, Ludwigia peploides and Echinodorus palaefolius. The most dominant plant in the lake area is the type of Myriophyllum sibiricum.
