- One of an Indonesian television program, which targeted to the Indonesian Youths, is Black in News. This program uses both of English and Indonesian languages during the program. Since it is a program that needed more than one language, the presenter of this program is required to be fluent both in English or Indonesian languages. The focus of this research was to analyze the code-mixing applied by the presenter of Black Spot segment. This research aimed at: 1) describing the types of code-mixing applied by the presenter of Black Spot segment of Black in News and 2) describing how the presenter used the code-mixing. A descriptive qualitative research was used as the research, in which it referred to the methods that involved of classifying and interpreting the data collected. The data were taken from the video of Black in News Hong Kong Special Edition episode. Purposive sampling was used as the technique in collecting the data. The data taken were involved of code-mixing applied by the presenter of Black Spot segment namely Hilyani Hidranto. Hence, the data were analyzed to describe the types of code-mixing, how it applied. The results of the research indicated that there were three types of code-mixing applied by the presenter of Black Spot segment in Black in News, of which types were insertion, alteration, and congruent lexicalization. The presenter used code-mixing by using informal Indonesian language and also English formal language. In insertion, especially English form belonged to the Informal form of Indonesian language. This code mixing occurred because the presenter was accustomed with English in the daily life. Thus, it influenced the way of the presenter to deliver the program
