- This study aims to determine the effect of gully and hydroponic growing media on the Deep Flow Technique (DFT) system on the growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa l.). This research was conducted at the Greenhouse Batu Flower Garden Coban Rais tourist attraction in the city of Batu, which is located at an altitude of 1,200 MDPL. The research began in January 2019 until February 2019. The research method used was 2 factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD), the first factor was the type of gully consisting of 2 levels, namely gully paralon (round) and gully gutter (box). The second factor is the type of media which consists of 2 levels, namely Cocopeat (organic) and rockwool (inorganic) media. The results of this study indicate that the combination of gully paralon treatment and cocopeat (G1M2) media given significantly affected lettuce height. Cocopeat media showed the best results for each observation variable. Whereas the administration of gully has no significant effect on the growth of lettuce plants.
