  • Along with the development of the times, the technological sophistication is increasingly rapid, one of which is the presence of mobile phones. However, this development was not accompanied by public awareness about the importance of hand hygiene when using a handphone. Handphone is one of the inanimate objects which can be a place of harmful microorganisms contamination. Microorganisms that live freely in nature are very easy to move from one place to another. The movement can cause microorganisms to attach to any object so that it can damage or infect whatever it occupies. Adverse health effects caused by fungi are allergic reactions, toxic and irritating effects, and infections. The purpose of this study is to describe the total analysis of the fungus colony on the surface of the student's mobile screen and develop the results of the study into a source of learning biology. This research is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results of the analysis of total fungal colonies showed that of the 7 samples studied, no total fungal colonies were detected with the analysis results of 0 cfu / ml in each sample. The results of this study are in the form of scientific processes and products that are proven to be inappropriate so they cannot be used as a source of learning biology.
